ENGLISH TEXTS autour des chances de JP McManus pour le grand rendez-vous .
Interview conducted on February 20 th , 2025 .
SUPREME Kawaboomga 2 nd to Kopeck Des Bordes on his first start and looks to have the best chance from the ones entered because he improved to win on his 2 nd start for us and has done nothing wrong and was very impressive .
Kel Histoire won on debut for us at Cork which I was happy to see and took his chance in the grade 2 novice hurdle next time out where he was 2 nd to Salvator Mundi who ’ s shorter in the betting then us . Trained by the right person he is entitled to take his chance and another step forward .
Irancy is a 7-year-old and took a while to debut for us but wasn ’ t disgraced when 3 rd to Firefox and I liked how he won the last day by 9 lengths at Punchestown in a Maiden hurdle , could certainly improve again to be featured . Any of our three could win .
ARKLE Majborough He looks the part , he is a good traveler , obviously he ’ s a Triumph hurdler winner with plenty of pace and high cruising speed . Made a few niggly and novice mistakes the last day in Leopardstown but will have learned from them . With there being no Sir Gino now it ’ ll take a very good horse to beat him , he is a proper racehorse .
TURNERS The New Lion There ’ s not a lot that you can say that puts you off him , he travels well through his races , he ’ s a Grade 1 winner and I know the Challow form sometimes have question marks over it but a lot of good horses have won the race too . There are no negatives with him and the Skeltons are very happy with him . I do like him , and I think he ’ s got a bit of class .
Kaid d ’ authie Debuted in the same Auteuil race that Majborough won as three-year-old finishing 5 th , won a maiden and went in the Grade 1 novice hurdle at the Dublin racing festival . I felt he was a little disappointing behind Kopeck des Bordes , just didn ’ t jump well enough for whatever reason and I thought the time before he looked a smart horse . Hopefully he can put that behind him and jump better at Cheltenham
CHAMPION CHASE Jonbon He ’ s oozed class all year and has now won his last 5 . Possibly put in his best performance the last day at Ascot when beating Energumene by 6 lengths . Is getting better with age and is a easier horse to both train and ride as long as he sticks to his routine . Cheltenham has been a bit of a boogey track for him , but he ’ s still always ran admirably there . He ’ s currently favorite and I just hope for his legacy he can go and do the business .
MARES NOVICE HURDLE Karoline Banbou Looked quite a nice horse the last day when she won and looks the pick on paper of ours . Jumped out and made all , she jumped well and did nothing wrong . She ’ ll need to improve again though to win this race but she is entitled to run in it . Kom tu Voudras- unraced sister to Entoucas who was trained by Joseph O ’ Brien . Another horse with Willie Mullins and again must tell you something if entered for this race .
Venusienne trained by willie Mullins and 2 nd on her debut in the Prix Finot at Auteuil . Not ran for us but they like her enough to enter her for this race so that should tell you something .
Khrisma She was a little disappointing the last day at Windsor , was a little too keen but she should improve for the run . I get the impression she ’ s not the easiest to the train .
RYANAIR Fact to File looking at the John Durkan form at the start of the season you would fancy Fact to file to be the best of our two in the race . Probably just no
