By Anastasia Lebarbier
Fascinated since childhood by the athlete that is the horse, Myriam began her career as a dedicated rider and caretaker. After several years spent caring for our four-legged companions, she decided in 2013 to open a new chapter in her life by combining her passion for horses with her love of artistic creation, through drawing and sculpture. From the Covid period onward, her artistic journey took a new turn, leading her to embark on a path as an independent artist. Inspired by the beauty of the animal, moved by the connection humans can have with it, and grateful for all that horses bring to our lives, she decided to devote her time to drawing, sculpting, and even creating animations— all centered around equines.“ As long as there are horses, I love to create,” she told us. In her home studio, Myriam explores the horse in all its forms, giving free rein to her imagination to bring her inspirations to life. A committed artist, she is also an ambassador for the International Chaar Appaloosa Horse Association, which works to preserve the CHAAR horse— a sacred breed from Kyrgyzstan— through art, culture, and a solidarity project whose proceeds are donated to the association.

THOSE WHO MOVE THE LINES
While Roland-Garros often accompanies students during their revision period, the Tour de France embodies summer – that pause before diving back into the water, that afternoon snack on the couch, that childhood time spent with grandparents. In addition to its many tactical synergies with horse racing, the Tour de France explores the hexagon and all its treasures – this July issue hasn’ t dreamt of donning the yellow jersey, but rather follows its own grand tour of unusual racecourses. France boasts the largest number of racecourses in Europe, 233, and abounds in unusual venues nestled in surprising settings, rich in historical significance or with atypical architecture. Each of these places lives through the passion of its key players and volunteers; this issue is dedicated to them – to all the people, whether professionals or enthusiasts, daily contributors or occasional ones, loyal spectators or casual visitors, who bring horse racing to life. The people on the ground are also at the heart of our new Foundation. Last month, GALORAMA inaugurated the GALORAMA Foundation, one of its latest innovations. This initiative, which reflects the company’ s core values and resonates deeply with every team member, is not only committed to providing financial support to organizations working for the greater good, but also to offering a new platform to those who move the lines. For its first initiative, the GA- LORAMA Foundation supported Mercy Ships, an NGO that has been highly active since 1978. Mercy Ships mainly operates in sub-Saharan Africa and runs the world’ s two largest civilian hospital ships to carry out free surgical operations and provide training programs for local healthcare workers. Since its inception, the association has helped over 3,000,000 people, offered 117,000 surgeries, trained 53,000 healthcare professionals, and continues its mission thanks to the support of 3,000 volunteers each year. Why not spread the word about their work?
