of Theault.“ Our specifications had two key requirements: ensuring the horses’ safety and adopting an eco-responsible approach to water management,” the team explains. The system, patented at the European level, offers complete water autonomy thanks to two tanks and a filtration system that allows water to be reused between treatments. MobileHorse Care offers two complementary types of treatment:
• Balneotherapy, which is particularly effective in treating tendinitis, arthritis, skin lesions, navicular issues, or swelling of the limbs: the horse enters the spa where chilled salt water( 2 ° C to 5 ° C) and whirlpool jets are gradually introduced. The water rises to the belly, focusing treatment mainly on the lower limbs.
• Hofmag therapy, a non-invasive technique that stimulates cellular metabolism and tissue oxygenation: this technology generates pulsed magnetic fields that penetrate up to 25 centimeters into the muscle mass— far deeper than a manual massage.“ Feedback has been excellent, both regarding service quality and treatment effectiveness— for recovery as well as prevention,” confirms the managing director.

KELPY
“ THE POWER OF SEAWEED”
By Serge Okey
In the Arcachon Basin, a beautiful story was born. It’ s the story of a double career change in the land of the seahorse— the natural mascot of Kelpy, a brand that has taken over Equithalasso’ s formulas to market complementary care products based on marine ingredients. Former flat-racing jockey turned equine massage therapist, Aurore Olivier teamed up with her partner Cyril Carta, a former HR manager who also became a masseur after Covid. Alongside these products, the couple dreams of opening a rehabilitation and wellness center for horses and dogs.“ It’ s our big life project.”
The name Kelpy brings together their passions for horses, dogs, and the sea. It refers to“ The Kelpies, those giant horse sculptures in Scotland for the equine side, to the kelpie, an Australian herding dog, and to kelp, a seaweed with many virtues,” explains Aurore, who left the saddle after the retirement of Christian Baillet, for whom she was the“ first groom.” Alongside their massage practice, the couple has ventured into products made from seaweed, clay, and marine mud.
High-quality products“ The seaweed is specially harvested in Brittany and the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel, in waters that contain over thirty minerals. It’ s exceptional quality, sourced from the Gilbert Laboratories, with no essential oils. Same goes for the mud, which comes from Noirmoutiers, extracted 15 meters underground. It’ s fresh and pure. It’ s the same one used in top human thalassotherapy centers.” Mainly intended for professionals, the range now includes eleven products also available to individuals. According to Aurore, the benefits are magical:“ It’ s a real rejuvenation treatment, full of calcium, magnesium, zinc, etc., that repairs and prepares the body for effort, reduces stress …”
Seaweed all over the body Competitions, dressage, vaulting, horseball … Kelpy caters to all disciplines and aims to expand quickly, following in the footsteps of Maud Briset, Céline Hérisson de Beauvoir, and Thibault Speicher, who are already convinced. Kelpy’ s specialty is wraps— applying seaweed to the targeted areas of the horse, or even the entire body.“ We apply the seaweed in the direction of the hair, then cover it with a starch sheet. We can even go as far as the cheeks to relieve jaw tension. Sessions last between 20 and 30 minutes, up to 45 minutes with marine mud. Ideally once or twice a week.
