ENGLISH TEXTS care to the entire stable three days a week.“ I know the horses, and I understand how they work. That’ s a big advantage— just like being a salaried member of the stable. It allows me to support them in a more tailored way and over the long term: some benefit from a session before a workout, others prefer recovery massages, or even a good muscular wake-up, for instance. Communication with the whole team is also essential. I talk a lot with the riders, Laura the assistant, the trainer himself, but also with the vet, the osteopath, and the farrier. Everyone has a role to play. My therapeutic focus is really on the horse’ s muscular comfort, to allow for better use of their muscles with the goal of sporting excellence, injury prevention, and improved recovery. We work with the horse throughout its career, from its first gallops— just like with a top-level human athlete— and the benefits are both physical and mental. Horses communicate a great deal during these sessions, and it’ s truly fascinating.”
