Feel Good N°8 Mai 2025 | Page 143

ENGLISH TEXTS any visual fireworks. Sahlan, finishing second in just his second career race, and Misunderstood in third, ran close behind but failed to erase doubts regarding their stamina in this race.
Ridari
+ proven endurance over 1,600m, track experience. He ticks all the boxes.
- Lacks a sharp final kick, no standout turn of foot
PRIX DE LA GROTTE( GR. 3): THE FILLIES UN- DER THE MICROSCOPE
Among the fillies, Zarigana won a tactical race that came down to acceleration: 1:40.06 for the mile-average by international standards. Her final 400m, however, was quite strong. Shes Perfect lacks pure acceleration based on sectional data. On the other hand, Godspeed’ s finish- despite being caught in a race with no early pace- was eye-catching. She had the best late kick of the field. The race unfolded slowly over the first three quarters before a sharp late sprint- ideal for stamina-type fillies, but raises questions about how they’ ll respond in a faster-run race.
Zarigana and Godspeed
+ agility, impressive final response
- Can they accelerate just as well at the end of a tru- ly fast-paced race?

C2 LOUVRE: INTRIGU- ING OUTSIDERS
Quieter on the racing calendar, the Class 2 Prix du Louvre still revealed some interesting types:
• Dos Mukasan, a solid winner with a balanced effort from start to finish
• Ultrafragola, second, exploded late with an exceptional final burst: 21.77s-suggesting big improvement to come, even if she doesn’ t appear the easiest to manage
• Pure Legend, third, still a bit lacking in brilliance but shows consistency
Ultrafragola
+ devastating 400-meter acceleration
Dos Mukasan and Pure Legend
- missing that final“ turbo” to dominate a fast-run race. Ultrafragola may have a tricky temperament

PRIX IMPRUDENCE( GR. 3): STAMINA AND CONSISTENCY … BUT LITTLE SPARK
Over the 1,400m at Deauville, the Prix Imprudence delivered a clean, wellpaced edition, with no major surprises. The top three displayed solid but contrasting profiles based on sectional data— a race more steady than spectacular. Better Together won with a time of 1:24.25, showing impressive consistency: stable fractions( 24.0 – 11.72 – 12.31) and an efficient finish. She checks all the boxes of a complete, tractable filly ready for the mile. Ghoufrann, second, followed closely with a final time of 84.41s and showed good finishing traits. Daylight, third, clocked 84.44s but with a less convincing final fraction.
Better Together
+ should handle the mile comfortably
- Needs to run faster and accelerate harder
CONCLUSION
Top speed Maranoa Charlie
Best acceleration Godspeed; Zarigana
Best speed / acceleration balance Ridari – Woodshauna
Watch out for our neighbors across the Channel.
