Purebred Arabian Sale – February 26. After a first online sale on February 13, which marked a flying start, AKTEM followed up thirteen days later with a sale dedicated to Purebred Arabians, held in partnership with the AFAC, and set a world record for a foal. The half-brother by Al Mourtajez to the champion Lady Princess, presented by Le Champ Gignoux, was knocked down for € 410,000 to Pierre-Yves Juillard. The session recorded total turnover of € 1,513,000, with an 85 % clearance rate and an average price of € 68,773. Very encouraging figures for a young agency.

PUREBRED ARABIANS ARE RIDING A WAVE OF SUCCESS

TPurebred Arabian racehorses are experiencing genuine momentum on all fronts. The result of the collective work of all French industry stakeholders, the sector is attracting a wide range of profiles from numerous countries.
One indicator of this growing appeal is the multiplication of auctions dedicated to Purebred Arabians. ARQANA, a long-established player, organizes a physical sale each year ahead of the Qatar Prix de l’ Arc de Triomphe weekend and has achieved numerous successes both on the track and in breeding. An online sales offering complements this, with a new date at the end of June specifically dedicated to the breed, as well as the possibility now of entering Purebred Arabians in the annual online sales sessions. Auctav, the second operator to enter this market in 2021, has enjoyed notable success, including the organization of two dispersal sales for the Shadwell operation. Osarus proved highly innovative in 2024 by staging the first breeze-up sale dedicated to Purebred
