PCPC UPDATE ON FDA’S REQUIREMENTS FOR COSMETICS IN 2025

Since the passage of the Modernization of Cosmetics Act of 2022 (MoCRA), FDA has continued its implementation of new regulatory authorities for cosmetic products marketed in the U.S. This session will provide brand owners, suppliers, and other stakeholders with the tools necessary to ensure compliance with FDA requirements (e.g., cosmetic vs. drug claims, labeling, safety substantiation, adverse events, etc.). Gain an understanding of available exemptions for certain requirements, including whether product samples provided at trade shows must be listed with FDA. Finally, hear an overview of FDA’s compliance authorities with respect to cosmetic products and industry perspectives on FDA’s ongoing efforts to draft new regulations.
