is a bit like my second home.
G. Among your horses based in Béarn, your flagship Callisto du Nord has remained unbeaten over obstacles. What is this colt’ s story?
C. P. Callisto was bred by my parents. We’ ve developed and improved the breeding operation in recent years by using better stallions, and it’ s working quite well. Eclipse de Cotte, Callisto’ s dam, won under my father’ s training before he sent her to stud. We went to Chœur du Nord, a proven stallion that we like a lot and who produces kind horses. Edouard Monfort, one of my best friends, joined in on this lovely family story. He wanted to buy a jumping yearling and chose him out in the fields. It’ s really nice to share this as a family and among friends. Callisto has recovered well from his latest victory, and the logical next step is the Prix Camille Dubosq( 8 / 2).

LUCAS ZULIANI
The year 2025 was particularly eventful for Lucas Zuliani. At just 23 years old, the jockey reached the top of the Cravache d’ Or standings for the first time in his career. With more than 100 victories in a single season— an unprecedented milestone for him— the young professional nevertheless saw his momentum slowed by an injury sustained on December 31. During his recovery period, this passionate sportsman agreed to take part in the exercise by sharing a few of his personal preferences with us.

Sam Sauvage: Mesdames, Messieurs! A kid’ s mugshot look and a voice with magnetic gravity. A slim tie and hair in disarray. A pop poet’ s streak, captivated by new wave. At 25, this self-taught artist propelled by social media has joined the stable of the Cinq7 label( Dominique A, Philippe Katerine, Bertrand Belin …) with a sincerity straight out of the North. At the crossroads of spoken singing and slam( Un cri dans le métro), Sam Sauvage moves through the shadows of Eddy de Pretto, Biolay( Les Romantiques) and Lescop( La fin du monde), while idolising Bob Dylan. A rare sharpness when it comes to portraying everyday life: the lives of ordinary people( Les gens qui dansent), emotions( Je ne t’ aime plus), and a few grains of madness( Avis de Tempête). A colt to watch, one that could well turn up the heat on French pop music.
Sébastien Tellier: Kiss the Beast When it comes to body hair, he is something of the French counterpart to Jayson Werth, the former US baseball star turned racehorse owner, spotted last summer in Deauville and in the series Race for the Crown. Musically, he is a worthy comrade of the famous Versailles-based“ French Touch” clique( Air, Daft Punk, Phoenix). Eighteen years after Eurovision, this eleventh album is said to be his most personal yet— and the claim is far from fanciful. Amid sometimes bracing sonic vapours, Sébastien Tellier lets his“ animal” side seep through. Like a horse, music becomes a game of chess with nature. Half wolf, half sheep, the newly minted fifty-something embraces the beast slumbering within
