ENGLISH TEXTS geopolitical reconfiguration and the importance of rare earths( as Venezuela abounds in them, notably in the Orinoco Belt), an investment theme to be incorporated into portfolios, just like Latin America, which is once again becoming an American playground. The year 2026 begins with a certain growth carryover( around 3 % estimated for global GDP); rates are at sufficiently low levels to finance economic agents( both private and public). Conflicts or military tensions( Ukraine, Gaza, Iran, Thailand – Cambodia, etc.) remain, but a search for balance among the major powers is taking shape under the pencil-or rather under the cannon, of the United States. Europe is certainly not an easy area in which to invest, but there remain solid industrial companies with global production footprints and / or good yields.

KEENELAND JANUARY HORSES OF ALL AGES SALE – 12 & 13 JANUARY The two-day Keeneland January Horses Of All Ages Sale achieved the highest turnover since 2008, with 702 horses sold for $ 53,920,300( including $ 2,346,500 in post-sale receipts for horses potentially sold afterwards). The exceptional broodmare Tiffany Case topped the opening session of the sale when selling to Mandy Pope’ s Whisper Hill Farm for $ 3.2 million – the highest price since Abel Tasman was purchased for $ 5 million in 2019. Consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency and the dam of exceptional race filly Nitrogen, Tiffany Case was offered in foal to Not This Time and attracted plenty of attention.( Tiffany Case is) really a neat mare, she has an A foal,” said Taylor Made’ s Frank Taylor.“ Every time she has a foal, it’ s an A individual, so that was good money for her. Not This Time had 17 yearlings bring over a million( dollars) in 2025, and none of them were bred as good as this foal’ s going to be bred. Hopefully they have luck with it.” A yearling colt by Nyquist headed the sale on the second day, achieving $ 525,000 to En Fuego Stables. Out of a Stakes-placed Lemon Drop Kid mare, the colt was consigned by Carolyn Conley’ s Conley Bloodstock.“ Bill Justice( of Justice Real Estate) is my other half, and he bred this colt,” Conley said.“ We believed in this colt from the beginning. I knew he was the nicest foal out of this mare so far. We are excited for his future.”“ I wanted to wait for the September Sale, but Bill is an expert businessman and he said Nyquist is as hot as a firecracker so we are going to January. The colt improved while he was here at Keeneland. I swear he grew and gained weight. He has a beautiful disposition. And his walk – wow.”

Consigned by Segenhoe Stud on behalf of Fairway Thoroughbreds, the stunning colt was purchased by Coolmore’ s Tom Magnier, to be sent into training with Chris Waller.“ He was one of the standouts,” Magnier said.“ We’ ve had a lot of luck with Segenhoe.“ We’ ve had a lot( more) of Frankels in the Northern Hemisphere than in the Southern Hemisphere so we know them well. We’ ve had a lot of luck with the grand dam.“ All the team really liked him. He’ s a lovely fluid action horse and he ticks all the boxes.“ We’ ve bought him in a syndicate with Chris( Waller) so he’ ll go straight in with him.“ Chris really liked the horse all week. I suppose there’ s a couple of horses that you don’ t agree on but when everybody agrees on a horse, it gives you the confidence to go a little bit further.” Viewers had to wait until Day 2 for
