Fly to El Calafate, a boomtown in the rugged land of Patagonia. After transferring to our hotel, you'll have an orientation walk with your Trip Experience Leader, and later, a dinner at a local's residence.

Enjoy a full-day excursion to Los Glaciares National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that comprises more than 1,700 square miles and nearly 50 large glaciers. Our ultimate destination is Perito Moreno Glacier, towering nearly 200 feet above Lake Argentino. The rest of the evening is at your leisure. Or, you may join an optional tour to La Tienda de Vinos, a wine bar where we'll sample five regional vintages.

Head overland to Chile and Torres del Paine National Park, centered around granite peaks that rise above the Patagonian steppe. After crossing the border into Chile, we'll arrive at the park in the afternoon to enjoy sightseeing and a wealth of photo opportunities.

Embark on an early hike through the Glacier Grey area of Torres del Paine. Then, we continue our discoveries on an afternoon walk to the beach at Laguna Larga.

Continue exploring Torres del Paine this morning. Then, set off to Pingo Salvaje ranch, where we'll meet the owners and embark on a horseback ride. We'll enjoy a barbecue dinner before we set off toward Puerto Natales, where we'll stay for the night.

Enter the Almirantazgo Inlet and sail into Ainsworth Bay, mooring near the Marinelli Glacier. During a shore excursion (weather permitting), we hope to observe a colony of elephant seals. We continue cruising to
On Day 12, we'll go ashore at Cape Horn (weather permitting) to explore the legendary promontory at the tip of South America where the Atlantic and Pacific oceans meet.

Navigate the main part of the Beagle Channel, sailing toward the Pia Glacier. Weather permitting, we'll step ashore and view the glacier where it flows from the Darwin Mountains into the sea. After returning to the ship, we'll sail along the Beagle Channel and through Glacier Alley.

On Days 9-13, cruise for 4 nights aboard the shared charter, 210-passenger M/V Stella Australis or M/V Ventus Australis, past massive glaciers and through azure fjords.
Sail through the Murray Channel. We'll go ashore (weather permitting) and hike the rugged trails that run through Cape Horn National Park, where the Atlantic and Pacific oceans meet just south of this far-flung headland. After, we'll dock in Wulaia Bay, once one of the largest settlements of the Yahgan people, the original inhabitants of the Cape Horn archipelago.
