DAY 1 • Depart U.S.
Depart the U.S. on your flight to Copenhagen, Denmark.
DAY 2 • Copenhagen, Denmark
Arrive in Copenhagen and transfer to your hotel, where you'll meet travelers who took our optional Copenhagen, Denmark pre-trip extension.

DAY 3 • Copenhagen • Embark ship
Depart for a tour of Copenhagen, which includes a stop at the city's Tivoli Garden. Enjoy a glimpse of the city's colorful houses, picturesque canals, charming pedestrian squares, and innovative modern architectural designs. Later, embark your ship.

DAY 4 • A Day in the Life of the Danish island of Bornholm
Meet a community leader in Bornholm, who will introduce our small group to this small Danish island. Afterward, begin our A Day in the Life discoveries at a local apple cider farm or a similar farm. You'll meet with the owners, learn about the production process, and enjoy a farm-fresh lunch with our hosts.

DAY 5 • Gdansk, Poland
Dock in Gdansk, a Polish city with a Baltic vibe. Set off on a walking tour of the Old Town, including a visit to the Monument to the Fallen Shipyard Workers. Later, visit the European Solidarity Center to learn more about its tenacious opposition to communism post-World War II.

DAY 6 • Klaipeda, Lithuania • Explore the Curonian Spit
Today, we will sail to Klaipeda, Lithuania, where we'll take a ferry to the Curonian Spit, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This scenic area is separated by a protected lagoon on one side and exposed to the harsh Baltic Sea on the other. After an included tour, we return to the ship.

DAY 7 • Visby, Sweden
Reachable only by boat or plane, the medieval walled city of Visby, located on the Swedish island of Gotland, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As we'll see today, it is considered the best-preserved medieval town in Scandinavia. First, visit the acclaimed Gotlands Museum to learn more about the history and culture of the island. Then, explore the city during a walking tour beginning with the botanical gardens and then its Old Town.

DAY 8 • Riga, Latvia • Home-Hosted Dinner
Discover Riga, a trade city on the Daugava River that has survived both Soviet and Nazi occupations, on a walking tour. Admire the Art Nouveau architecture, explore the Old Town, and learn about Latvia's complicated past. Later, sit down to a Home-Hosted Dinner with a local family.

DAY 9 • Riga • Controversial Topic: The removal of Soviet-era monuments in Latvia • Optional Rundale Palace tour
This morning, we'll meet a local for a discussion about the Controversial Topic of Soviet monuments in Latvia and why there is a big push from the public today to dismantle and remove these relics of a past era. Later, join an optional excursion to Rundale Palace, one of the two baroque palaces built in the mid-18th century for the Dukes of Courland. Explore its lavish interior and lush rose garden before enjoying an included lunch.

DAY 10 • Tallinn, Estonia
Discover Tallinn, a wonderfully preserved city of the old Hanseatic League. Explore on a guided walking and motorcoach tour including the city's Old Town. Within the ancient gated walls, the streets remain much as they were when Danish rulers built them in the 13th century. The historic city center is divided into the Lower Town and the Upper Town.

DAY 11 • Discover Tallinn's Song Festival Grounds
Visit the Song Festival Grounds where the Baltic Singing Revolution took place from 1987–1991, during which hundreds of Estonians joined together in patriotic song to protest Soviet plans to establish phosphorite mines in the Virumaa region. Later this afternoon, the ship will lift anchor and begin its journey to Helsinki, Finland.

DAY 12 • Helsinki, Finland
Discover Helsinki on a city tour, from the Sibelius Monument, a wave-like sculpture of steel pipes, to the Neo-classical buildings of Senate Square. We'll also visit the new Oodi public library, known as the "living room of the city". Then, explore the bustle of daily life in Market Square and Hakaniemi Market Hall. This evening, enjoy the Captain's Farewell Dinner.

DAY 13 • Disembark ship • Stockholm, Sweden
Disembark your small ship this morning, and explore Sweden's capital city during an included tour. Your Stockholm discoveries will include the Stadshuset, the romantic City Hall building famous for hosting the annual Nobel Prize banquet. Here, a 300-foot tower is topped with three gold crowns, representing Sweden's coat of arms. Afterwards, enjoy some free time, perhaps opting to visit the 15th-century sculpture of St. George.

DAY 14 • Return to U.S.
Transfer to the airport for your flight home, or continue on our Stockholm, Sweden post-trip extension.
