DAY 3 • Athens
After a Welcome Briefing this morning, enjoy an afternoon of independent exploration. Then, set off for a tour of the Acropolis Archaeological Site and its crowning jewel-the Parthenon-to marvel at the majestic ruins.

DAY 4 • Athens • Delphi • Arachova
This morning we'll travel to Arachova to explore Delphi's Archaeological Museum and archaeological site. You will explore the Temple of Apollo, the ancient theater, and the Tholos at the sanctuary of Athena Pronaia. The rest of the day is yours to explore.

DAY 5 • Arachova • A Day in the Life of a Delphi honey farm
Enjoy our A Day in the Life experience at MoKa Honey Farm in the Delphi countryside. We'll meet the owners to learn the secrets of Greek honey, don a beekeeper's suit to walk amongst the hives, help prepare lunch, and sit down with the family for a shared meal together. This afternoon, we'll arrive in Kalambaka to check into our hotel and explore the city.

DAY 6 • Kalambaka • Meteora • Home-Hosted Dinner
Today we'll discover the "hanging" cliffside monasteries of Meteora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, perched atop pinnacles that rise about 1,000 feet from the valley floor. This evening, enjoy a Home-Hosted Dinner with a Greek family in Kalambaka.

DAY 7 • Athens • Embark ship
Today we'll drive to Athens where we'll embark our small ship in the port of Piraeus. Tonight, enjoy a Captain's Welcome Dinner in the ship's dining room. Later, our ship sails to the Greek island of Syros.

DAY 8 • Syros • Mykonos
Explore the administrative capital of the Cyclades Islands on a walking tour of Ermoupolis on Syros. We'll also try loukoumi candy-a Greek version of Turkish Delight. Then, cruise to Mykonos to spend the afternoon and evening exploring the charming Aegean port town. Our ship will set sail for Paros overnight.

DAY 9 • Paros
Today our discoveries in Paros include a visit to the historic capital of Lefkes, the fishing village of Naoussa, and the artistic hub of Parikia. In Lefkes, we'll set off on a walking tour to wander the narrow streets and pass by the iconic white and blue homes. In Naoussa, admire the colorful fishing boats as we walk down cobbled streets.

DAY 10 • Santorini
Spend a full day on the island of Santorini. We'll take a funicular (cable car) to ascend to Fira Town to take in the gleaming white houses that look down to the bay. We'll visit the nearby Akrotiri Archeological Site, before arriving at the cliffside village of Oia for a walking tour. We'll visit local shops, soak in views of the Santorini caldera, and explore the blue-and-white Church of Panagia Platsani.

On Day 5, visit a local honey farm for A Day in the Life experience and discover Delphi’s prized commodity.


DAY 11 • Kalymnos • Sponge fishing conversation
Meet a sponge workshop owner and a marine biologist to hear both sides of the issue of Kalymnos' sponge fishing industry and its impact on the area's delicate ecosystem. Then, set off on a tour of the island of Kalymnos, known for its majestic mountains, including a visit to the Traditional House museum, for a glimpse into how people lived on this island in ages past.

DAY 12 • Patmos • Kusadasi, Turkey
The volcanic island of Patmos is where St. John the Evangelist is said to have dictated the Book of Revelation. Visit the Monastery of St. John and the Holy Cave of the Apocalypse to see where the holy man lived and worked, followed by a walk through Patmos Town.

DAY 13 • Kusadasi • Ephesus • Carpet weaving demonstration
Today we'll walk among the ruins of ancient Ephesus-considered to be one of the world's best-preserved and most extensive classical Greco-Roman cities. Then, visit a local carpet cooperative to learn how Turkish carpets are made. Later, gather for a Captain's Farewell Dinner onboard.

On Day 7, embark your 50-passenger small ship, where you’ll spend the next 7 nights cruising to new port cities and historic towns.
DAY 14 • Kusadasi • Disembark ship • Fly to Istanbul
We'll disembark our ship this morning and fly to Istanbul. After we arrive and check into our hotel, our Trip Experience Leader will take us on a discovery walk through an area of the city popular with locals.

DAY 15 • Istanbul • Hippodrome & Hagia Sophia • Spice Market
Enjoy a full morning of discoveries in Istanbul, beginning at the city's lively central square-the Hippodrome of Constantinople. From there, we'll continue on to the magnificent Hagia Sophia, a sixth century Byzantine church famous for its mosaics, before making our way to the Spice Bazaar-one of the largest and most colorful bazaars in the city.

DAY 16 • Istanbul • Topkapi Palace • Bosphorus cruise
This morning we'll visit the sprawling palatial complex of Topkapi Palace before embarking on a scenic cruise on the Bosporus Strait. Following lunch on your own, enjoy an afternoon of independent discoveries prior to our Farewell Dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 17 • Return to U.S.
