DAY 1 • Depart U.S.
Depart today on your flight to Naples, Italy.
DAY 2 • Arrive in Naples, Italy • Embark ship
Arrive in Naples and transfer to your ship-your home for the next nine nights. Meet travelers who took our optional Rome: Highlights of the Eternal City pre-trip extension.

DAY 3 • Naples Archaeological Museum
This morning, explore Naples on foot with a local guide. Later, visit the UNESCO-listed Museo Archeologico Nazionale (National Archaeological Museum) and discover the world's finest collection of Pompeiian frescoes and mosaics. Tonight, enjoy our Captain's Welcome Dinner onboard the ship.

DAY 4 • Sorrento • Home-Hosted Lunch
Disembark our ship and tender to the cliff-side town of Sorrento. We'll see the city's cathedral, Piazza Sant'Antonino, Public Gardens, and the Piazza Tasso main square during a discovery walk. Later, learn what it's like to live and work here when we join a local family for a Home-Hosted Lunch.

DAY 5 • Naples • Optional Herculaneum tour
Today is free to explore Naples independently. Or, join us on an optional tour of Herculaneum, a Roman town buried by Vesuvian ash in the same eruption that destroyed Pompeii. After lunch onboard our ship, we will begin cruising towards Pozzuoli.

DAY 6 • Pozzuoli • Controversial Topic: Italy & the Camorra
Take a walking tour of Pozzuoli with a local guide, exploring Flavian Amphitheater, the third largest amphitheater in Italy. Later, a local expert will join us onboard to discuss the Controversial Topic of Italy & the Camorra, a crime syndicate. Please note: The Flavian Amphitheater is closed on Tuesdays; when this site is unavailable, we will arrange an alternate activity.

DAY 7 • Pozzuoli • A Day in the Life of a Pozzuoli farm
Today, we'll drive inland to experience what A Day in the Life of a family-owned farm is like in the countryside of Pozzuoli. A member of the family will show us around the grounds and describe their daily activities. Then we'll roll up our sleeves and help with a few morning chores. Later, enjoy lunch with the family.

On Day 7, experience A Day in the Life of a family-owned farm in the countryside of Pozzuoli.


DAY 8 • Salerno • Optional Vietri sul Mare visit
Set off on a walking tour of Salerno with our Trip Experience Leader this morning. During our explorations, we'll stop at a local pastry shop to indulge in a sweet treat. The afternoon is on your own. Or, join us on an optional tour to the Amalfi Coast gem of Vietri sul Mare, famous for its vibrant ceramics.

DAY 9 • Amalfi
This morning, discover the iconic town of Amalfi, situated on what is perhaps Italy's most beautiful coast-and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This afternoon, we'll begin sailing towards Pompeii, cruising along more of the Amalfi Coast's stunning landscapes.

ADVENTURE HIGHLIGHT
On Day 9, explore seaside Amalfi with a local guide, and admire its colorful cliffside buildings and dramatic rock formations.
DAY 10 • Salerno • Pompeii
Explore the ruins of Pompeii, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, witnessing the devastation caused when Mount Vesuvius erupted almost 2,000 years ago. Set off on a guided walking tour with our Trip Experience Leader, followed by free time. Later, head back to our ship and sail back to Naples for our disembarkation tomorrow.

DAY 11 • Disembark ship • Return to U.S.
Transfer from the port in Naples to Naples Airport for your return home. Or, begin your Florence: Cradle of the Renaissance post-trip extension.
