DAY 1 • Depart U.S.
Fly from the U.S. to Zagreb, Croatia.
DAY 2 • Zagreb, Croatia
Arrive in Zagreb, and meet your fellow travelers, including those who took the Alpine Wonders of Slovenia: Lake Bled & Ljubliana pre-trip extension.

DAY 3 • Zagreb
Enjoy a guided tour of Croatia's capital with a stroll through the Lower Town. Then, take the funicular to the Upper Town to visit several of the city's medieval landmarks, ending in Zagreb's most colorful market. In the afternoon, you'll hear first-hand the difficulties immigrants face in Zagreb during an in-depth discussion.

DAY 4 • Zagreb • Varazdin • Family estate visit
Venture into the Croatian countryside to Varazdin, a beautifully preserved Baroque city. A walking tour will reveal the city's magnificent castles and churches, while an included lunch at a local family's estate will introduce you to its fine culinary traditions.

DAY 5 • Plitvice Lakes • Zadar • Embark ship
This morning, travel overland to the Plitvice Lakes for a walking tour. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, these 16 turquoise lakes are linked by waterfalls and cascades. Later, depart for Zadar and embark your small ship.

DAY 6 • Zadar • A Day in the Life of a Croatian village
Enjoy our A Day in the Life experience when we split into smaller groups to visit one of two Croatian villages—the village of Sopot, or an agricultural estate in the Ravni Kotari countryside. In both locations, we'll immerse ourselves in the day-to-day lives of a tight-knit rural Croatian community. Later, join your fellow travelers for a Captain's Welcome Dinner onboard.

DAY 7 • Split
Stroll the ancient streets of Split—a UNESCO World Heritage Site—including a visit to the Imperial Palace of Emperor Diocletian, built in the third century. Later, enjoy an afternoon at leisure.

DAY 8 • Korcula • Dubrovnik
Soak up the history of Korcula during a visit to its local museum, St. Mark's Cathedral, and the Treasury of the 14th-century Abbey Palace.

DAY 9 • Dubrovnik • Gromača village • Home-Hosted Dinner
Enjoy a Dubrovnik walking tour. Later, visit the village of Gromača and meet village residents to experience their way of life. Then, sit down for a Home-Hosted Dinner.

DAY 10 • Dubrovnik • Optional Konavle tour
Take time to discover more of Dubrovnik at your own pace today, enjoying lunch onboard. Or, join an optional tour to Konavle to discover what everyday life is like for locals in this valley region—from agricultural traditions to art, music, and dance. Later, you'll have the afternoon at your leisure.

On Day 9, enjoy a Home-Hosted Dinner with locals in Gromača village, learning about life in the Croatian countryside firsthand.


DAY 11 • Kotor, Montenegro
Discover the well-preserved historic center of Kotor on a walking tour, including its narrow lanes, medieval walls, and impressive cathedral. After, you'll travel to Saranda, Albania, your next destination.

DAY 12 • Saranda, Albania • Butrint
Arrive in Saranda, where you'll travel overland to visit the ruins of Butrint, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This afternoon, you'll have time to explore Saranda independently or stroll along the seaside promenade.

ADVENTURE HIGHLIGHT
On Days 11-12, journey beyond Croatia to off-the-beaten-path ports like Saranda, Albania, and Kotor, Montenegro.
DAY 13 • Corfu
Explore Corfu on a walking tour led by a local guide, followed by a stop at the Bella Vista viewpoint on Paleokastritsa Bay to take in scenic, panoramic views. After, enjoy lunch in a local restaurant before departing for your overnight cruise to Itea, your gateway to the ruins of Delphi.

DAY 14 • Itea • Delphi
Visit Delphi, including the Temple of Apollo and the Delphi Archaeological Museum, whose holdings include a larger-than-life bronze charioteer. After lunch onboard, cruise toward Athens, passing through the legendary Corinth Canal.

DAY 15 • Athens • Captain's Farewell Dinner
An included Athens city tour features a bus ride past the restored ancient Panathenean Stadium, the Greek Parliament building, and the Presidential Palace. Then enjoy a city center walking tour. This evening we'll gather for a cocktail and your Captain's Farewell Dinner.

DAY 16 • Athens • Disembark ship • Acropolis Museum
After disembarking our ship this morning, we'll explore the Acropolis Museum, which houses more than 4,000 artifacts that have been discovered at the Acropolis archeological site. Following free time this afternoon, we'll reconvene for a Farewell Dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 17 • Return to U.S.
Depart for the airport to catch your flight back to the U.S. or begin your post-trip extension to Athens & the Peloponnese: From Homer to the First Olympics.
