Then stroll through the colorful La Boca artists' district. Later, put on your dancing shoes for a tango lesson.

Visit a local family in their home on the Patagonian steppe this morning, learn about their way of life, and mount up for a horseback ride. Enjoy a barbecue lunch with the family in their home. We cross the Andes-and the border-and travel into Chile. Arrive in Puerto Varas this afternoon.

On Day 7, visit a local family living on the Patagonian steppe, where we'll enjoy a horseback ride followed by a lamb barbecue dinner.
Take a ferry ride to Chiloé Island off Chile's coast. Then, transfer overland to the island's capital city, Castro. After stopping at San Francisco Church-a UNESCO World Heritage Site-and catching a glimpse of the island's iconic stilt houses, enjoy a free afternoon in Castro.

Experience A Day in the Life of the Rilan community on Chiloé Island, off Chile's Pacific Coast. After touring the town, join your hosts at their home to help with farm chores, discuss local life, and prepare a traditional meal called a curanto, which we'll share with them for lunch.

On Day 11, we'll spend A Day in the Life of the Rilan community on Chiloé island, where we'll help with farm chores and enjoy a traditional meal with our hosts.
Visit the Puñihuil Wildlife Reserve to spot wildlife such as sea otters and penguins. Later, take a ferry back to the mainland and fly to Punta Arenas.

Travel to Torres del Paine, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Site. Join an elective hike along the shores of Lago Grey, where gigantic blue icebergs rest against sandy beaches while the Grey Glacier stretches into the distance.
