Meals: B | Cilene del Faro Hotel or similar

DAY 5 • Ushuaia • Tierra del Fuego National Park • Embark ship

Visit the remote and rugged Tierra del Fuego National Park. After, enjoy a traditional Argentine asado de cordero (lamb barbecue) lunch before boarding the ship. Your Antarctica expedition begins with a passage through the Beagle Channel. As you set sail, you'll meet your experienced Expedition Team, an enthusiastic group of explorers, researchers, and naturalists who will share their expertise with our small group, as well as the other travelers aboard our shared charter.
Meals: B,L,D | M/S World Traveller

DAY 6 • Drake Passage

The Drake Passage is the most direct route to Antarctica, as well as the most adventurous. If conditions are rough, you may need to stay in your cabin until calmer waters are reached. But if you're lucky enough to encounter placid waters, you could be invited to the lounge to enjoy the first in a series of lectures from your Expedition Team.
Meals: B,L,D | M/S World Traveller

DAY 7 • Drake Passage

Cross the Antarctic Convergence, where polar waters sink beneath the warmer waters of the more temperate zones. Your ship may be accompanied by albatross and other seabirds vying for food. You may also catch sight of whales as they traverse the passage.
Meals: B,L,D | M/S World Traveller

DAY 8 • Antarctic Peninsula Region • South Shetland Islands

Your ship nears the South Shetland Islands. If conditions allow, it may be your first chance to go ashore. Throughout your journey, your Captain and Expedition Team will assess weather conditions and wildlife-viewing opportunities, as well as coordinate with other tour operators, to take you out into the Antarctic environment as often as possible. We'll aim to make at least one Zodiac landing or Zodiac cruise per day.
Meals: B,L,D | M/S World Traveller

DAY 9 • Antarctic Peninsula Region • South Shetland Islands

Continue to explore this unspoiled wilderness with your Expedition Team. You might board Zodiacs bound for an island to hike along the shore. Upon landing, you may encounter colonies of penguins. Your Expedition Team will also watch for rare plant species that can sometimes be found in the warmer soil here.
Meals: B,L,D | M/S World Traveller

ADVENTURE HIGHLIGHT

Experience Antarctica's frozen expanse on a 9-night cruise aboard the 170-passenger M/S World Traveller

Hike in Tierra del Fuego, Argentina
Antarctic fur seal, Antarctic Peninsula

DAY 10 • Antarctic Peninsula Region • South Shetland Islands

Depending on conditions, you may happen upon "penguin highways" carved into the snow. Long-tailed gentoos form this delicate infrastructure as they waddle between the sea and their cliffside rookeries. You may also notice impressive mountains and flocks of seabirds overhead. Onboard our ship, the Expedition Team may lead informative discussions on everything from marine life to scenic photography.
Meals: B,L,D | M/S World Traveller

DAY 11 • Antarctic Peninsula Region • South Shetland Islands

As your ship cruises, you might witness mountain peaks, seals, and penguins hunting for fish. You may have the opportunity to ride Zodiacs near icebergs—many of which are larger than most expedition ships—to marvel at their jagged angles and frozen coves. Your Expedition Team will offer even more insights into Antarctica's ecology, wildlife, and history.
Meals: B,L,D | M/S World Traveller

DAY 12 • Drake Passage

Bid farewell to Antarctica as you begin your journey back to Ushuaia across the Drake Passage. If it is safe to do so, your Expedition Team may invite you to the lounge to share some final insights into the discoveries you've made.
