TATTERSALLS IRELAND NOVEMBER NH SALE 10 / 11 / 12 NOVEMBER The Tattersalls Ireland November NH Sale suffered a considerable decrease in lots offered, down almost one hundred from the previous renewal in 2024. Despite a reduced amount of horses, turnover returned to the nine million euros mark, with an average of 20,043 euros per lot – a record amount for the sale. The exceptional foal trade throughout the three days kept the numbers high, with pinhookers and purchasers pushing prices past 40,000 euros on 64 occasions, 19 more than in 2024. Darragh McCarthy, from Capital Stud, purchased the top-lot in the sale, a colt by Authorized from the famous French du Berlais family. His half-brother Six Figures has already succeeded at Grade 2 level and has been Grade 1 placed in France.“ It is hard to try and buy a stallion, so we decided that we will have to try and make our own,” said McCarthy.“ We figured out that we will have to go and buy them as younger horses; foals, yearlings and two-yearolds.“ All the right people were on him, we paid more than we were hoping, but he is a serious individual with an unbelievable pedigree – he comes from the famous Berlais family, and we could not leave without him. We didn’ t think we would have to give that type of money, or anything near it, and I’ m shocked we had to give that.“ The physical is hard to fault, he’ s a beautiful walker, and I thought he was the best stallion prospect I saw all week. He is the whole package.”

The four-year-old is a half-sister to multiple Grade 1 winner Bravemansgame, who has recently been transferred to France. O’ Toole said:“ She is a gorgeous mare. She won very well, she’ s got a great pedigree, and I hope that she is lucky. She’ s going back to Ireland, but I don’ t know who’ s going to train her yet.”

The highlight of the sale was an Intello colt, who fetched 45,000 euros to Berghgracht of the MAB agency.
