ABLOY CELEBRATES PARTNER PROGRAM SUCCESS AND GROWING NETWORK

SIX MONTHS after launching its new Partner Program, Abloy UK is celebrating a strong uptake, with a growing network of installers and integrators joining the initiative to strengthen their technical expertise, win new business, and deliver a better service to their customers.
Created to build closer, more collaborative relationships with security professionals, the Abloy Partner Program has already welcomed over 30 partners from across the UK, with members actively engaging in technical training, project registration and joint business development activities.
The program provides partners with access to Abloy’ s premium portfolio of mechanical and electromechanical locking solutions, alongside dedicated commercial support, technical expertise, lead generation opportunities and marketing resources.
Over the past six months, partners have also taken advantage of tailored training delivered through the Abloy Academy, helping them expand their knowledge of the latest security technologies and confidently specify, install and maintain high-security access solutions.
The program is built around four core principles that underpin every partnership. These include‘ delivering a premium experience through high-quality products and expert support, acting as trusted advisors with over a century of security expertise, becoming stronger together through collaboration, and remaining responsible by nature by promoting sustainable and ethical business practices.
The program’ s project registration scheme and dedicated support from regional sales and program managers have also enabled partners to identify and secure new business opportunities.
Johnathon Dale, Partner Program Manager at Abloy UK, said:“ From day one, our aim was to create something that genuinely helps our partners grow their businesses, rather than simply offering another basic supplier relationship.
“ Our partners are experts in their own right, and our role is to provide the tools, knowledge and support that help them stand out in an increasingly competitive marketplace.
“ Whether that’ s through training, technical guidance or collaborative marketing, we’ re committed to helping them succeed because when our partners grow, so does the value we can collectively deliver to customers.”

HKC expands platform capabilities with SW-10270 and SmartLink700 upgrades

THE COORDINATED launch of the SW-10270 v4.4.6 firmware and SmartLink700 v1.7.8 software represents one of the most comprehensive enhancements to HKC’ s Technical Zone functionality to date, enabling installers to configure each Technical Zone independently, rather than applying settings globally across the system.
Among the new capabilities is the introduction of individual 12-character descriptions for each Technical Zone, making programming more intuitive and providing end-users with clearer information should a technical event occur.
Installers can also configure new perzone options including activation delays, configurable SIA reporting codes, Pulse and Gross detection, Internal Bell activation and the new Latch Alarm feature, which requires a user to acknowledge and clear critical technical events before returning the system to normal operation.
The‘ Weeks to Service’ timer has also been increased from 99 to 255 weeks, allowing installers to configure service reminders over a longer period and prompt end users when a service is required after two, three or four years.
Alongside the firmware enhancements, SmartLink700 v1.7.8 has been updated to fully support the new Technical Zone functionality, while introducing additional improvements including support for forthcoming RF Midi sensors, new RF device configuration options, enhanced programming tools and improved installer guidance. The new software versions have also been developed to support HKC’ s upcoming Midi sensor trial, ensuring installers have access to the latest programming features ahead of the new product launch.
Further enhancements include the addition of the new‘ Reeds on Partset’ option for RF-Contact and RF Contact Sensors, allowing installers to protect a window while
it remains open, providing greater flexibility for part-set applications.
The new functionality is available on SW-10270 control panels running firmware version 4.4.6 together with SmartLink700 v1.7.8.
Please note, due to hardware memory limitations, these enhancements are not supported on legacy SW-1070 control panels manufactured before 2015. Customers wishing to take advantage of the new functionality will need to upgrade to an SW-10270 PCB.
