An Open Mind. An Open Door.

SINCE CLEARVIEW Group took the reins of Door Industry Journal in Spring 2025, we have opened the door to new ideas, new conversations and new opportunities. We have refreshed the magazine, introduced new ways of communicating with our readers and, along the way, spent a lot of time talking to the people who make up the industry we serve.
Taking on an established publication means respecting what has gone before while keeping an open mind about what comes next. Over the past year, we have listened to the feedback – the good, the challenging and everything in between – and those conversations have helped shape where we go next.
And if there is one thing this first year has taught us, it is the value of keeping an open mind and an open conversation.
At the heart of that is something we have always believed should remain at the heart of DIJ: the industry itself.
We want the magazine to continue to deliver the technical knowledge, professional insight and specialist content our readers rely on, while also reflecting the wider developments, people and businesses shaping the sector. It is a balance we will continue to work on, and one that is best achieved by listening, learning and working with the industry rather than simply talking about it.
Keeping an open mind also means keeping our eyes open to what is changing around us.
The sectors we cover are evolving all the time. New technologies are opening up possibilities, businesses are moving into new markets, and the lines between doors, hardware, security, access control, automation and smart technology are becoming increasingly blurred. There is a bigger picture emerging – and it is one worth keeping an eye on.
That open approach extends beyond the printed magazine.
So, here is our very first Autumn issue, accompanied online by a completely refreshed DIJ newsletter, launched in mid-September. It gives our online presence a new look and provides another way for readers to keep up with the latest industry news, products and developments between issues.
It is another step in making sure DIJ is there when and where our readers want to engage with it – whether that is in print, online or in their inbox.
And there is plenty happening across the wider Clearview Group too.
One of the things that has become increasingly apparent since DIJ joined the Group is just how closely connected the markets we cover really are.
Keeping our eyes open to those connections has given us a much bigger picture of the industries we serve – and that bigger picture is also behind some very big news we are announcing in this issue.
We can’ t say too much here – because there is a whole lot more to come on page 7 – but we can tell you that something rather exciting is coming in Spring 2028. Consider this an open invitation.
