Cancellations/Refunds

North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale Community Education reserves the right to cancel classes due to lack of enrollment or in the event of emergencies. The option to transfer to another class will be given or a refund/credit will be issued.

Cancellation requests must be made at least one week prior to the start of the class or by the registration deadline indicated. A processing fee will be deducted from the refund. Cancellation requests made closer than one week from the start date are non-refundable. No refunds will be given after a class has started. Class supplies or tickets that have been purchased or committed are non refundable regardless of cancellation date.

Day trips (Ed-ventures) have specific refund policies listed with the descriptions or itinerary. No refunds will be issued after the specified date.

Closings Due to Weather

Classes are not held when school is closed due to weather. In case of bad weather, tune in to local radio/television stations, or check the district's website at www.isd622.org for the most current updates.

Emergency

Program staff will take whatever emergency measures are judged necessary for the care and protection of the participant while under their supervision. In case of an emergency, the participant will be transported to an appropriate medical facility by the local emergency unit for treatment, if the local emergency resources deem it necessary. It is understood that in some medical situations the staff will need to contact local emergency resources before the parent/guardian or emergency contact is notified. Any expenses incurred will be the responsibility of the participant/participant's family.

Youth Drop-off/Pick-up

Parents/guardians must sign in and out for non-school day programs. For after school classes, please indicate on the registration form what your child will do after class, and who is authorized for pick-up.

UCare

UCare members (excluding UCare Your Choice plans) currently receive a $45 annual allowance for Community Education adult enrichment classes, applied directly at registration using their Healthy Benefits+ Visa® card. Members can check balances at HealthyBenefitsPlus.com, through the app, or by calling 1-833-832-7306. This benefit applies to adult programs only. Beginning January 1, 2026, the class allowance will only be available for UCare Individual & Family and Individual & Family with M Health Fairview plans. Unused funds will expire December 31, 2025. For questions about UCare, call 651-748-7250.

Online Classes

Many in-person classes are designed to be offered online should the need for distance learning arise. You will be notified in advance and if you choose to attend the class online, you will receive an email with the class link and the handouts. If you do not wish to attend online, your registration will be refunded. Online classes will be delivered via Zoom. You will need to download Zoom to your computer, laptop, iPad or smartphone. See www.zoom.us. You will receive an email the day before your online class with the class link and any handouts for the class.

Youth Special Needs

For optional after-school programs, we do not have access to medical records or supplies kept in the nurse's office and our ability to provide support is limited. If special needs or health concerns would impact your child's participation, please email lgreenleekarp@isd622.org or call 651-748-7446 no later than one week before class begins.
