All change at CDMOs
Pascal Villemagne ( right ) has left Swiss CDMO Carbogen Amcis , where he had been CEO since 2022 , and will become CEO of Seqens on 1 April . He replaces Pierre Luzeau , who is joining the supervisory board as an independent director and chairman . Stephan Fritschi , currently chief alliance officer and deputy CEO , will take the reins at Carbogen Amcis on the same day .
Perstorp realigns
As a result of an alignment with PCG Specialty Chemicals , Ib Jensen has left his position as president and CEO of Perstorp , having overseen the integration process following PCG ’ s acquisition of Perstorp in 2022 . Gorm Jensen , currently EVP for commercial and innovation at Perstorp , has effectively succeeded him in the new role of managing director of Perstorp Holding .
Alcami CEO leaves
Three-time CEO and chairman of Alcami Bill Humphries resigned from the company on 13 January . Board chair and former CEO Patrick Walsh is now serving as interim CEO to ensure continuity in operations . Walsh is also chairman of ANI Pharmaceuticals and MedPharm , and an operating partner at Ampersand Capital Partners , which part-owns Alcami .
Two new at Barentz
Barentz has announced that Derk Jan Terhorst became group CEO at the start of the year , replacing Terry Hill who had served as interim CEO since May 2024 . Terhorst had been with the firm for three years and previously held senior management positions at Ahold Delhaize and Tony ’ s Chocolonely . In addition , Esther Veninga ( right ), formerly with Albert Heijn , will join as CFO on 1 May .
Chemours reshuffles senior management
Chemours has named Damián Gumpel as president of its Titanium Technologies business segment . Gumpel has a long industry pedigree , with various business leadership roles in Dow and later at Olin . Interim segment president Diane Iuliano Picho has become chief enterprise enablement officer after former chief enterprise transformation officer Matthew Abbott left .
Reisten to Brenntag
Thomas Reisten is joining Brenntag as CFO and board of management member from 1 April on a four-year contract after Dr Kristin Neumann decided not to extend her contract for personal reasons . Reisten was most recently CFO at telecoms tower firm Vantage Towers , participating in its carveout from Vodafone .
New CFO at Neste
Eeva Sipilä will become CFO at Neste by 1 May at the latest and has consequently resigned as a director and chair of the audit committee . Separately , Jori Sahlsten has been appointed as EVP for the Oil Products business area , reporting directly to president and CEO Heikki Malinen .
