NEW LIFE BY THE LAKESID
The shiny new Balaton Park circuit is so fresh that the WorldSBK version of the layout has only been settled on recently. Now we know we will be racing on a 4.075km long track, with largely flat topography and 17 corners of various kinds. This glittering new theatre of racing dreams forms the backdrop for WorldSBK’ s second Hungarian adventure over its long history. Given that the circuit is located near the many popular holiday resorts around the immense Lake Balaton- and that we are racing here in July- it should provide high-speed summer fun for fans and competitors alike.

T1 / T4
The whole T1 to T4 area of the track can be likened to a‘ complex’ all of its own. Hard braking from the relatively short start / finish straight leads into an almost full hairpin right, then a slightly expansive left at T2. Very soon after, T3 forms a curve more than a corner, before T4( a more than 90 ° left-hander) takes us out onto a short straight that runs parallel to the start / finish. The first timing sector of each lap ends just after the exit of T4.

A pálya teljes T1-T4 szakasza egy önálló „ komplexumhoz” hasonlítható. A viszonylag rövid rajt / cél egyenesből induló erős fékezés egy majdnem teljes hajtűkanyarba, majd egy kissé kiszélesedett balba vezet a T2-nél. T5 / T8
Until we race there, we won’ t know for sure, but this series of corners looks like it may be the most challenging and interesting of all. A hard right-hander opens out immediately on the exit to an expanding T6, then there are two fast right-hand kinks- T7 and T8- which will surely be taken while accelerating on a fairly high lean angle? The end of the next short straight is the end of the second timing sector.
T5 / T8
Amíg ott nem versenyzünk, nem tudjuk biztosan, de úgy tűnik, hogy ez a kanyarkombináció lesz a legkihívásosabb és legérdekesebb mind közül. Egy éles jobbkanyar nyílik közvetlenül a kitáguló T6 kijáratánál, majd két gyors jobbkanyar- T7 és T8- következik, amelyeket egy meglehetősen nagy dőlésszögű gyorsítás közben kell bevenni. T9 / T11
Hard on the brakes for T9, it is actually the left-handed entry to the first real chicane, with a sharp right flick needed to get round T10. It’ s a short, sharp throttle squeeze to the geometric hairpin of T11. If a rider receives a long-lap penalty, the outside of T11 is where it will be served.
T9 / T11
A T9-nél erősen fékezünk, valójában ez az első igazi sikán balkanyaros bejárata, ahol egy éles jobbra pöccintéssel jutunk a T10-hez, majd egy rövid, éles gázadás a T11 hajtűkanyarhoz. Ha egy versenyző hosszú körös büntetést kap, azt a T11 külső részén kell letölteni.
