Team,
Here we are at the end of 2025, and it’ s been yet another big and momentous year. We’ ve had some tremendous accomplishments and made some big decisions— all of which will make 2026 equally as interesting. But first, I want to look back on many of our successes this year.
Our list of accomplishments this year is long. While the review process for our transaction with Charter is ongoing, we expect to wrap up that process next summer. Cox Communications continues to deliver for our customers— and bring on new ones. Cox Business and Segra secured major deals with Meta and Google, while RapidScale locked in deals with Singing River Health System in Mississippi, and Clark County School District in Nevada— the fifth-largest school district in the country.
Cox Automotive is on track to set a record for annual revenue and achieved a stellar 14 % year-over-year increase in EBITDA. They also announced a seven-year, $ 205 million EV battery lifecycle management deal with Hyundai / Kia, and launched a bold new pilot at two Hertz sales locations to help them sell cars that exit their fleet. This marked a major milestone in the changing wholesale and retail channel ecosystem. The pilot is part of a $ 7 million partnership, with a projected value of $ 13 million to $ 15 million over the next two years.
I also want to highlight some of the amazing Cox Biodiversity work the James M. Cox Foundation is supporting. These incredibly important initiatives will have a lasting impact for generations. For example, the Foundation is working with the Atlantic Salmon Federation to reconnect Maine’ s Kennebec River to the sea by removing dams and protecting 74 million acres of habitat. We’ re also working with The Conservation Fund to protect Georgia’ s Okefenokee Swamp, one of America’ s great natural wetlands. Finally, in partnership with The Nature Conservancy, the Foundation is helping protect Hacienda Puchegüín, a globally significant forest known for its ability to absorb massive amounts of carbon from the atmosphere. This is part of a broader world view we’ re beginning to take when it comes to the climate crisis, since what happens in one area impacts all of us.
I’ m proud to have spent another year working alongside all of you. I’ ve often said this is the best team of any company in America— and I believe that. Together we continue to make a meaningful difference for our customers, communities and so many others. The future is bright for all of us, and I’ m looking forward to more great moments ahead.
Thank you for all you do to make this company such a wonderful place to work, and for helping us make the future a better place for the next generation. Our Growth Operations businesses also have exciting news to share. For one, Cox Farms is coming closer to reaching their goal of $ 1 billion in annual revenue, and partnered with Feeding America to donate 3 million pounds of produce this year to help people in need. Nexus had a huge summer, proving out their technology and ability to scale. Next year we will focus on continuing to build this part of our business for the future. I also want to congratulate OpenGov on some major wins, particularly in the city of San Francisco. Meanwhile, our other businesses— like Axios— continue to grow and thrive. This year also marks the 20th anniversary of the Cox Employee Relief Fund. Launched after Hurricane Katrina, CERF has become a cornerstone of our culture, helping our people through challenging times for two decades.
