ChamberFest Brown County 2026 happens from
Sunday, August 16 through Saturday, August 22 in several different venues. You must purchase a ticket for the Wednesday performance at the Brown County Playhouse, but all the others are free admission.
Chamber music is for everyone. It’ s the music of friends. It tells our stories. Whether it’ s music from the 1960s, or the 1600s, we recognize ourselves in it.
This year is celebrating our nation’ s 250 th anniversary. At ChamberFest Brown County 2026, you’ ll travel the American experience. Music written in America, about America, and its many human interpretations.
A Czech experiences home away from home in an 1890s Czech-speaking farm village in Spillville, Iowa. U. S. soldiers give raw accounts of life on the battlefield in letters home, from the Revolutionary War to the Gulf War. Many knew they wouldn’ t survive.
The soundscape of 1920s New York City comes alive with city excitement and the melting-pot culture of New York’ s jazz age.
We swing from the 1600s and Spanish art songs to 21 st century America with a sax quartet that celebrates renewal, reinvention, and the“ great experiment” of democratic reinvention and rebirth.
