Until a tough 2024 season, when he finished seventh, ‘Loka’ had been a top five WorldSBK finisher each year. He enters this season with 18 career podiums - and a burning desire to join the race winner ’s club after a few close calls.
A true product of the WorldSBK paddock in general, ‘VDM’ (as he is affectionately known) is now one of its most experienced riders, and a proven WorldSBK race winner as recently as last season. He has now won races for both Yamaha and BMW.
Fino all’impegnativa stagione 2024, chiusa in settima posizione, il “Loka” era stato ogni anno uno dei primi cinque classificati del WorldSBK. Inizia questa stagione con 18 podi in carriera ed un ardente desiderio di entrare nel club dei vincitori di gare, dopo esserci già andato vicino.
Un genuino prodotto del paddock del WorldSBK, “MVDM” (come è affettuosamente chiamato) è ora uno dei piloti più esperti della categoria ed un comprovato vincitore di gare anche nella passata stagione. Ha vinto sia con la Yamaha che con la BMW.
