1887 թ-ին մահանում է Մանթաշյանցի հայրը : Ալեքսանդրը ստանում բավականին մեծ գումար ՝ 200.000 ռուբլի դրամագլուխ : Առևտրային ոլորտում հաջողությունների հասնելը նրան սպասեցնել չի տալիս , սակայն Մանթաշյանցը չի բավարարվում միայն առևտրով : Նա հայ առևտրական կապիտալի մեջ առաջիններից էր , որ անցնում է բանկային գործարարության : Նա գնում է Թիֆլիսի առևտրային բանկի բաժնեթղթերի մի մասը , ապա ամբողջը ՝ մասնաճյուղեր բացելով Բաքվում և Բաթումում : Ձեռք է բերում նաև ռուսական երկու խոշոր բանկերի բաժնետոմսերը և դառնում դրանց խորհրդի անդամը : 1880-ական թթ-ին Բաքվում նավթային իսկական խառնաշփոթ է սկսվում : Հայ գործարարներից շատերը հաստատվում են այստեղ և ձեռնամուխ լինում նոր նավթահորերի շահագործմանը : Ալեքսանդր Մանթաշյանցի ՝ Բաքու գալու պատճառն իր վաղեմի ընկերն էր , Միքայել Արամյանցը : Արամյանցը 3 արցախցիների ( Ա . Alexander Mantashyants was born on March 3 , 1842 in Tiflis . His father Hovhannes was a merchant and ran his business mainly in Persia . Alexander was 16 years old when his father brought him to Tiflis where he received his primary education from an educated priest . He studied Armenian , Russian and Georgian . In 1864 , Hovhannes Mantashyants and his son returned to Tabriz , Persia . Here Alexander met and became friends with Mikael Aramyants . This acquaintance later played a crucial role in the lives of the both . At that time , Alexander had already had some trade skills . In the years followed , Alexander , accompanied by his father , visited major European cities , famous shopping centers , settled for some time in one of the centers of the textile industry in Europe , in the English city of Manchester , organizing the delivery of textile products to Tabriz . This continued until 1878 , when his father left Persia and permanently settled in Tiflis . Here Hovhannes Mantashyants opened a large store , to which his son added the second one . Together with his father , he began to engage in wholesale manufacture , skillfully applying the knowledge and skills acquired in the West . When studying the trade business , he began to understand mathematics and accounting very well . His travelling experiences helped me improve his knowledge of Russian , Georgian , Persian , English , French , and German . In 1887 , Mantashyants ' father died .
