INTERVIEW
Meet the doctor
Over the years, Mediestetik has evolved into an enthusiastic team of dedicated practitioners, who bring the best care to our patients. From now on, you will find in each issue of Youth code a new section – Meet the doctor – an interview with all our team members and a few details of what they do here and in their spare time. Dr. Martin Šrubař volunteered as our first interviewee.
MDDr. Martin Šrubař MEDIESTETIK CLINIC ORTHODONTIST
Martin Šrubař
Doctor Šrubař is an orthodontic specialist of Mediestetik clinic who studied dentistry at Palacký University in Olomouc. He treats a wide range of cases of teeth unevenness using classic as well as modern braces. Dr. Šrubař takes every opportunity to broaden his breadth of knowledge in his field of practice at many Czech and international medical courses and symposiums. His patients particularly appreciate his expertise of both standard and the newest trends in modern orthodontics.
He states,“ Every person deserves to have a smile he desires. It is never too late for teeth alignment, so please put your shyness aside.”
Why did you choose this field of medicine? I chose orthodontics because it is a creative discipline. I previously worked as a general dentist practitioner, but in orthodontics, I found a job that can fully satisfy me.
Have you always known you wanted to be a doctor or dentist? Ever since I was at high school, I knew I wanted to study medicine. This is one of the reasons I finally chose dental medicine, after all, both my parents are dentists. Working as a dentist was always very interesting for me, but to follow a specialization in orthodontics, I found a field that I enjoy the most.
Do you remember your first patient ever? I remember my first patient very well. It was still at school and I made a simple amalgam filling for him. The entire procedure took me quite a long time and at first, I was really nervous, like most of my former classmates. I remember that the patient was very pleasant and patient, who helped me to stay cool, everything ended up well.
