Lipskier. It would be appropriate if he also goes. This will ensure that he won’ t be hanging around in the streets. If there is no job over there, maybe Merkos could give him some money!”.
SUNDAY, 16TH OF AV:
In the morning a Jew came into 770. He was alarmed and panicking that his daughter had been in labor for over 24 hours and was in unbearable pain. Rabbi Junik put on Tefilin with the man, Davened with him, and then brought him into the Rebbe.
The Jew poured his heart out to the Rebbe. The Rebbe told him to say Kapitul # 71 in Tehillim and give $ 1.80 to
Tzedokah that is equal to 10 times Chai. The Rebbe continued by telling the man to tell his daughter to accept upon herself to give Tzedokah every Friday before lighting
Shabbos candles. The Rebbe continued, saying,“ You should do all this as quickly as possible and it will result in an easy birth!” Before the man left, the Rebbe told him to call back with the results.
The Rebbe then reprimanded Rabbi Junik saying:“ You should have told me right away. Don’ t just assume that it is some religious matter.”
By the evening, not having heard about the birth, the Rebbe had someone call the hospital. When they contacted the man, he informed them that a granddaughter had just been born! The expression on the Rebbe’ s face showed his immense joy on receiving the news.
