North Merchiston came from
behind to secure a 4-4 draw away to
Broxburn in the 2nd round of the U17
South East Region Cup.
Bonnyrigg Rose and Linlithgow
Rose U13 girls served up and exciting
league tie at King George V Park. The
two teams, who were separated by
only one point in the league, drew
four all.
A spirited away performance saw
Tynecastle edge past AC Oxgangs
at Meggetland. Ryan Currie’s first
half strike saw his team progress
to the next round of the U16 Colin
Greenhall Memorial Trophy.
Extra-time was needed to separate
Bonnyrigg Rose and Tweedmouth
Juniors in the second round of the
U19 David Murray Cup. Goals from
Anderson and Whitson were enough
to see their team progress.
Hibernian U17s ladies extended
their lead at the top of the South
East Division with a 3-1 win over
Hutchison Vale. Caitlin Russell put
Hibs 2-1 up not long after the break
and Hayley Cross’ strike put the game
to bed.
NOVEMBER
Leith progressed to the quarterfinals of the U16 South East Region
Cup with a 2-1 home win against
Broxburn Athletic Colts. Following
this game, the Edinburgh side
recorded a great 5-3 win against
Eskmill, with Patrick Ryan grabbing a
hat-trick.
Murieston United 17s won the
SWF Scottish Cup at Toryglen with an
emphatic 3-0 win over Glasgow Girls
in the final.
Leith Athletic U19s booked a place
in the semi-final of the South East
Region Cup with a 2-1 win away win
over their opponents, Musselburgh
Windsor.
Cup fifth round. The match had been
abandoned at half-time the previous
week due to icy pitch conditions
Hutchsion’s U15s also progressed
in the same competition, as they
edged past their rivals Tynecastle 4-3
at Meggetland. Leith Athletic U13s
progressed to the quarter-finals of the
