George Heriot’s HS won their top of
the table clash with Newbattle HS
at St Augustine’s. Heriot’s 3-2 win
was enough to see them crowned

Schools Division 2.

With many competitions coming
to a close in the South East Region,
April was a successful month for the

Elsewhere, Tyler Connaghan’s
first-half strike was enough to
see Ross High emerge victorious

of the U16s Lothians Cup.
Edinburgh City saw off tough
competition from Tynecastle to win
the U19 East of Scotland League
Cup 3-2 at the Spartans Academy.
Musselburgh U19s clinched the first
division title in impressive fashion,
defeating their rivals Haddington
Athletic 4-1
Spartans U17s reached the final
of the Scottish Cup in spectacular
fashion, when McIvor netted the only
goal of the game in the final minute
of extra-time. The match was played
in front of a large crowd of both
travelling Spartans and Cardonald
Thistle fans at New Victoria Park.

Currie Star U13s title hopes were
kept alive with an emphatic 8-3 win
over North Merchiston.
Tynecastle beat rivals Hutchison
Vale 5-2 in the East of Scotland 21s
league. Tynie found themselves
five goals up before Hutchie pulled
backed a couple of consolation goals.
Royal High School sealed their
first league title at under 14s level
since 1989, winning the Edinburgh
Schools Division 2 with an impressive
six-nil win over Leith Academy.
Lasswade High School put seven
goals past Bishopbriggs Academy to
reach the final of the SSFA Shield.
May provided national success for
many teams in the South East Region.

OCTOBER
SFA CEO Stewart Regan officially
opened Blackburn United cfc’s new
facility new Murrayfield Park in
October.
Milton blues mounted an
exceptional second half comeback
against Cramond FC. Cramond went
into half-time 2-0 but were defeated
with five minutes remaining when a
milton strike ensured a 3-2 win for
the home side.
Pollok juveniles beat dalkeith cyp
4-3 in the second round of the u21s
Scottish Cup. Mclaughlin’s second
goal of the game on 70 minutes was
the decisive strike.
Hibernian u15s girls booked their
place in the Scottish Cup final with a

Celtic Girls put five past Hibs to
progress to the semi-final of the
SWF Youth Cup. Emma Jo hnstone
