Initial Efforts:
Under the supervision of Veterinary Assistant Surgeon of his area he established a semi-intensive type of dairy farming. He raised fodders like Lucerne, Berseem, CO1, CO3, CO4 and PC-23, etc. in 5 acres of his own land with a bore-well to meet the daily water requirements. He also engaged his family members, in dairy farming to carry out the daily managemental practices.

Health Care and Management:
Mr. Shrihari Goud, follows all scientific managemental practices like deworming, vaccinations( FMD, HS, BQ, BRUCELLOSIS etc.) from the date of calving. Making use of a chaff cutter avoids wastage of fodder.

Due to proper rearing and feeding managemental practices and timely veterinary services Mr. Shrihari Goud has encountered less animal health and infertility issues. Therefore, the calf mortality rate and repeat breeding problem is less than 2 % making the dairy profitable. Because of his efforts, Mr. Shrihari Goud is getting one calf / animal / year, which is the main reason for success in his dairy farming enterprise.
Marketing
Now Mr. Shrihari Goud is maintaining 55 Buffaloes with an average milk yield of 300 liters per day and selling the milk @ Rs. 60 /- per lit. to a middleman. He is getting an income of around
