DAIRY FARMING Boon for Unemployed Youth and Entrepreneurs Dr. SK. Peer Ahmed and Dr. Vaishali V. Banthiya Today, in our country with increasing population, there is increase in unemployment too, which is turning into a serious problem. Most of the Youth are unemployed and therefore it is the time for them to be self-employed. Mr. Shrihari Goud was also one among those unemployed, but he turned himself into a successful entrepreneur by adopting dairy farming; setting an example and inspiring others to become self-employed. Thukkuguda village in Rangareddy District of Telangana is located nearer to the Shamashabad, R.G. International Airport, the area where most of the Multinational Companies are running with thousands of employees. Hence, there is a lot of demand for the daily needs especially milk and milk –products. “Without having own fodder production resources, without having knowledge of basic managemental practices, without having proper market, and finally without involvement of owner himself as a worker, the dairy farming is totally UTTER FLOP” -Mr. Shrihari Goud, Dairy Entrepreneur Mr. Shrihari Goud who was unemployed and belonging to farming community who is 10 th Passed and having family with a wife and two children; has came to know that there is a lot of demand to milk and milk products in his area. Hence, he opted to set up a Dairy Farm under Mini Dairy Govt. Scheme of State Animal Husbandry Department with 10 Buffaloes by getting dairy farm loan of Rs. 8 Lakh from a nearby bank.
