sound fine to most people in the congregation . This ended up being a wonderful conversation that ultimately looped in the ‘ technical ’ team and worked to get the buy-in that the tech team hadn ’ t been able to secure on their own .
“ What would a perfect sound system be able to do for you ?” is a question that gets totally different answers when I ask it back to a senior non-tech leader vs . a ‘ hot hands ’ engineer . In one case the answer may center around being able to hear the pastor better and not having to struggle to get through the long and complicated sound check so that the youth group can get into the sanctuary earlier and get set each Sunday . In the other case the answer may lead off with complex Dante network requirements and whether DCAs or matrices would be better in a particular application . Ultimately , both answers ( and their connected continuing conversations ) are helpful in guiding system optimization and design forward . In the same manner , please know that we really do want to hear your feedback and your questions — don ’ t think that you need to have all of the answers , that ’ s part of what we ’ re here to help with !
