set free but we’re still behaving as if we are still
in bondage, so there is a transformation that
needs to happen.
So we wrote this song because we wanted a
really bold declaration, but also as a reminder
of what Jesus did, and encouraging people to
step out in that. And we wanted a joyful song
as well, which I think it really is.
[WM] Chris, God has been so good to me
over the years. He’s given me so many things
that I have asked for, so I have to assume that
when He has said, “no”, it was for my own

[Chris] I wrote that song with my friends Hank
Bentley and Phil Wickham, and at the end of the
writing day we had written two songs already,
one of them being on the second volume. But
“Nothing But Good” was at the end of the day,
and if I remember correctly Hank just started
