A Little Girl Lost
Jodi L. Easter Mobile, Alabama ms. pratt81 @ live. com
A little girl lost, wondering through the trees, hoping that someone soon finds me, dealing with the hurt, living with the pain, walking around blindly, trying to mask the shame. At once I hear a beautiful voice, calling out my name, do I leave all of this insanity? Do I follow the voice that keeps calling me? Making that decision, to follow the voice
within the trees, he pulled me out of the darkness, to see the beautiful sea, and feel the love of the angels as they wrap me in their arms, they lead me to my savior who will keep me safe from harm. He smiles ever so sweetly, and takes me by his side, and whispers I am no longer lost, that I’ m with the most divine. Living the Christian life is not always easy,
and there are times when you question many things, just know that through it all there is a lesson to be learned, that you are not alone and that Jesus is walking with you every step of the way. When times are hard and you feel you can no longer walk, he WILL carry you, all you have to do is listen for the sweet sound of his voice calling, and see the beauty that you will soon find when you follow it.
Righteousness
Daniel Jacks Gadsden, Alabama Danieljacks464 @ gmail. com
When you think of the word righteousness, what comes to mind? Before I fully understood what the word righteousness meant I just figured it meant something along the way of higher authority or something greater.
Growing up in a small town Baptist church, I always felt like I had to be like the other members of the church. Dressing like them, doing the things they did, reading the bible like they did but something was always missing. I could never fully understand Christianity or feel what everyone else was feeling. Now that I look back on it I see where I went wrong although it might seem so obvious that I was trying build a relationship with Christ based
upon trying to fit in. I was misleading by having a lack of knowledge, as do many still today. Continuing my study for eternity I gained the knowledge that was needed to know that your relationship with Christ is a personal relationship. It’ s not a group relationship, it’ s not something someone else can do for you, and it’ s a decision you have to make.
Becoming a Christian I came to find out that the word Righteousness means“ right standing with God”. Which would mean the unrighteous would be the sinners. Righteousness doesn’ t mean you’ re any better than anyone it doesn’ t mean you can look down on people or that your any more worthy than anyone else it’ s a gift from
God. In fact the unrighteous is the whole reason Jesus died on the cross for us, the SINNERS. Mathew 9; 12-13 stats“ It’ s not the Healthy that need a doctor but the sick, for I did not come for the righteous but the unrighteous.” Since we were all born into a world of sin we have all been unrighteous, and the only way to become righteous is threw our faith in the Lord. By doing of which an which we become righteous we may stand in front of God as if we have never sinned before!
