Do You Believe in God?

Do you believe in God? Many, I hope, would answer " yes." But do you believe in the one, true God as He reveals Himself to us in the Bible? What if you are unsure or the answer, you find, is " no "? This means that you believe in your own version of God. That means that you are practicing idolatry. You may not have wooden, stone, or golden statues that you look to for answers, but if you look to a version of God rather than who He really is, isn ' t it the same thing? Either way, the real Almighty God is unknown to us. This is idolatry even if it ' s out of ignorance. In the book of Acts, the apostle Paul was visiting the city of Athens and he saw idols everywhere, in- cluding one that was labeled " To the unknown god." He could tell they were " religious " but he took the opportunity to talk to them about the Creator, the God of Heaven and Earth- not ones made with human hands or the human mind. Religion is one thing, but having a saving relationship with Him is altogether different. Which is it for you and what will you do about it now that you know the difference? May Jesus give you the grace to turn to Him. Until next time-- Ken

The World in Devastation
In todays world we have seen just about everything. Floods, tornados, and we have even seen people killing just to kill. It is time as Christians to act to pray and to hold onto what use to be a common practice in just simply believing. In Deuteronomy 31:8 it reads:“ It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” We have to live our lives on that promise. In time of need and in time of pain we have to fall on God and trust He will not forsake us. The next time you have a tragedy in life or you turn on the news to hear something horrific spend some time in prayer and know that He will watch over every situation.
