Levels National 3 / National 4 / National 5 / Higher Course Outline National 3 / National 4 / National 5 / Higher Art and Design is both a means of communication and a means of expressing ideas and feelings. It is an area of study that is especially concerned with the development of those complex mental processes involved in visual perception and aesthetic experience. Pupils will develop creative practical skills, problem solving skills and critical appreciation.
