I must admit I spent most of the day crying . When you are in direct sales , there is no compensation , no benefits package , or transfer to a new position - it is over ! There is no way to service your clients .
I am a single mom with 3 boys who are heavily involved in summer and winter sports , fundraising for their teams , scheduling sport commitments , their schooling , and life can be a bit tricky at times .
Being my own boss is the best fit for all of us and together - we have created a great lifestyle . I have been able to take my boys on different holidays and be there for them .
I believe this is my legacy to my family . My boys growing up in this industry , and being able to see their Mom set and achieve her goals , be able to prioritize for their sports and that it has taught them invaluable lessons as well .
Interviewer : I have to admit that , shortly after hearing the news of the company closing , I noticed your comment about ‘ Big Girl Panties ’ and posts about a new company ! Can you share how you moved forward ?
JPK : One of the first calls I made was to a direct sales coach friend that I have worked with in the past . After explaining the situation I asked for guidance or suggestions of a new company . As all good coaches do , she turned the question back to me and asked if I had any criteria and any thoughts .
I let her know that I wanted to find a company that shared MY values . I was looking for a company that had good products and good support for their team . I also shared that I had been following a company for about 2 years and was impressed with their vision and spokesperson .
When I mentioned the name of the company to my coach she agreed , and then stated that would be the company she would recommend to me to meet my needs and values . That was the confirmation I needed ! Cont ’ d
