BUY THE BOOK ON AMAZON $2.99 Time flies and that is not a cliché. It has been nearly two years since I came to know Tim Holmes, author of Life Without Edges newly re-titled How I recovered from abuse and rape: My Story of Recovery. I reached out to interview Tim after he joined my Linked In group Relationship Matters: Stop Domestic Abuse and Relationship Violence. I was captured by the original title, Life Without Edges, he emailed me a copy to read and I was blown away. The fact that Tim changed the title in no way changes the heroic story of his recovery from a most brutal experience one that many be they female or male would dare not tell. My very first time speaking with Tim, I knew we would friends for life. I have been blessed to come to call many of my virtual friends, true friends and Tim Holmes is one. There is a great admiration that I have towards him because of his tenacity to not only survive but thrive. Once you buy and read his book you will see that he lived a life without edges that should have destroyed him if were not for Grace and Mercy that taught him how to recovery from the brink of insanity. As a young man in any measure Tim’s life by all accounts is an inspiring one. He let me in on his decision to change the book’s title to give better insight to his story. It may appear on surface to be marketing or business strategy but only in part; a small part. The bigger picture is much larger than marketing or business deployment of strategic thinking it is however, brilliant in that I believe many more people will read it and some will find it life-saving. Tim lives in Cessock, South Wales with his wife Kathy and a really fat cat who they adore. We communicate through social networks and video calling on Skype and Oovoo. When I asked him to organize a Domestic Violence Solidarity Walk in his community, he took the reins and ran with it. Not only organizing but inspiring others to organize as well. This is a man I am proud to call friend and moreover, brother. He is profound and prolific in his ability to think though rough times, difficult things and see light. This is why I had to include him in this issue of “Inspired Life, Inspiring Lives”—We must let our life shine so the others who believe there is no light may see that they too can be inspiring. Thank you Tim for being that Man.
