The XS Nickel Bass Strings are available for 5-string, 6-string, or 4-string. In gauges from 31-130 to 45-130. The D’ Addario Nickel Bass Strings have a nickel-plated wrap with a super thin coating over them for longevity and consistent tone performance. The new reformulated nickel-plating and coating feel more natural than many coated strings to me. I also like the fact that D’ Addario has a Richter scale of Tone showing Bright to Mellow depending on the style of music you are playing. To my ear the Nickel Bass Strings are brighter, which is perfect for a lot of modern music and bass sound reinforcement needs on stage. Prices start at $ 49.99 for the 4-string sets and go up. Teisco has taken their most popular effects and done a Honey I Shrunk Your Guitar Pedals trick on them. For review WM received all 12 of the new Teisco Mini Effects and we plugged every single pedal in to test it out. I have always been a fan of mini effects pedals because it is easier to create a smaller fly-date pedal board that works great for Praise team practice and other church functions. All of the Teisco mini pedals require external 9v power since there is no way you can fit a 9v battery in this case. Each of the effects feature a removable non-slip rubber base on the bottom and include a manual and a Teisco sticker. They have colorful and artistic paint jobs and are enclosed in a sturdy metal casing. I have purchased many On-Stage products over the years, but this one really impressed me, and it won“ Best in Show” at the NAMM show this year. The Guitar Stand Workbench has been so popular since its release that we almost couldn’ t get one into the WM offices to test and review – but we did! From the Guitar Stand Workbench looks like a traditional guitar stand which can operate as for a variety of different sized instruments including electric guitars, bass and acoustic guitars. The neck cradle is well padded and holds your instrument secure and the two lower arms are padded and height adjustable also. There are 5 adjustable knobs on the Guitar Stand Workbench. The upper controls the neck, the lower controls the bottom two security arms, the middle know allows you to raise the height of the stand. And the middle knob lets you select the angle of the stand up to full horizontal. Go from using the Guitar Stand Workbench as a traditional stand to adjusting the middle knob and making it a height adjustable workbench to change strings or other necessary repairs. Much like the On- Stage amp stand, which I own, the two bottom legs on the Guitar Stand Workbench are very strong and stable so there is no wobble when you have your instrument at horizontal.
