Mom & Daughter Bring Driftwood Market to Plant Street

Mother-daughter team Donna Price and Bonnie DiCocco decided to open a store in 2016 at Artegon Marketplace , which announced its unexpected closing just a few months later . They found a new home in College Park ( 2308 Edgewater Drive ), where they have experienced unprecedented success since February of 2017 . And for this Mothers Day , they ’ re bringing their brand , southern hospitality and small town customer service to the hometown they know and love .

Driftwood Market will be located at 46 W . Plant Street , in the heart of historic downtown WG and is set to open early this month . The store will offer shoppers a unique experience , offering a hand curated collection of gifts , decor and local art . With vibrant community events and artisan workshop offerings , they ’ ll fit into the vibe of our bustling downtown scene quite swimmingly . to offer our customers the best shopping experience .”
Driftwood Market puts together a collection of unique gift items and home décor , and they are excited about supporting local artists , including painters , a candle-maker and a potter . They also source international suppliers whose products are of a quality they ’ re proud to sell in their hand curated collections . Workshops and classes will also be offered , often taught by local artists , and the duo is currently working on the calendar for the new store .
Bonnie and Donna have always wanted to open up shop here in WG , and worked closely with the City to stay apprised of new opportunities . Once they heard a gift store , Grace ’ s Gifts , was closing , they seized the opportunity . They will maintain both stores . The two are quite the team , as Bonnie has four daughters ( ages 8 , 7 , 6 , and 3 ) and the two take turns watching the girls while the other is working the shop . And they have a great team in College Park so that they can enjoy working more close to home .
When we asked Bonnie what she enjoyed about working together with her mom , she said , “ having a business partner who can anticipate your thoughts and finish something you ’ ve started before you even ask for help is incredible . Our individual business strengths compliment each other perfectly . I love the details , research , marketing and networking , while mom ’ s very visual , with a great eye and excellent at creating the gorgeous storyline our customers experience every time they walk through our doors .
