creating a one-of-a-kind winter wonderland
Winter fun officially arrived in Downtown Daybreak on November 14 with the grand opening of Winter Village, introducing ice skating and immersive holiday experiences for the first time. The debut transformed Downtown Daybreak and The Ballpark at America First Square into a vibrant seasonal destination, inviting families, friends and visitors to experience winter magic across multiple spaces.
The opening of the Winter Village ice rink marked a major milestone for Downtown Daybreak. Opening night featured open skating, figure skating performances, ice sculptures and live music, creating an energetic and welcoming atmosphere for guests of all ages. The celebration set the tone for a season filled with movement, music and memorable moments on the ice.
Throughout the winter, the ice rink served as the centerpiece of Winter Village, offering seven days a week of skating beneath dazzling lights. Theme nights such as Disney Skate and Santa Skate added extra excitement, while live performances from local high school bands and choirs filled the plaza with music and holiday spirit. With the option to bring your own skates or rent a pair on-site, the experience was designed to be accessible for first-time skaters and seasoned pros alike. To date, more than 24,000 people have taken to the ice, creating new traditions at Downtown Daybreak.
Just steps away, Holiday Lights at The Ballpark at America First Square debuted as a winter wonderland and quickly became a must-see part of Winter Village. Guests walked the base paths, explored the field, and experienced glowing tunnels, themed zones like Candy Cane Lane, and larger-than-life displays. A 60- foot Christmas tree synchronized to music, light shows every 20 minutes, interactive games and a mini golf course added to the experience.
More than 50,000 visitors enjoyed the festive Holiday Lights.
