envisioned as a world-class sports and entertainment-anchored mixeduse project that blends office, housing, retail, hospitality and open space into a walkable, connected destination. Located just minutes from downtown and the Salt Lake City International Airport, the site is uniquely positioned alongside two key state amenities— the Jordan River and the Utah State Fairpark.
“ The Power District is more than a project— it’ s our family and organization’ s commitment to Salt Lake City and the State of Utah,” said Steve Miller, chairman of the board of the Larry H. Miller Company.“ This development will create thousands of jobs, ignite economic growth, and serve as the gateway neighborhood to Utah’ s capital city.”
Purpose-built for Rocky Mountain Power, the new all-electric corporate campus is designed to support a modern workforce while honoring the area’ s industrial heritage. Inspired by the historic Gadsby Power Plant,
the building blends efficient systems with thoughtful design to create a high-performance, people-centered workplace that will establish a distinctive presence on Salt Lake’ s skyline. This approach ensures that the spaces created not only meet today’ s needs but also respect and enhance our community and state for future generations. The LHM Real Estate project is in partnership with SOM, Architectural Nexus and Okland Construction.
Beyond the building itself, The Power District represents a long-term investment in community impact. A $ 10 million infrastructure and site remediation effort is underway, including the cleanup, restoration and activation of the Jordan River. These efforts will improve water quality, restore native vegetation and fish, and expand public access to trails and green space and provide unmatched recreational opportunities in an urban setting.
As the first building rises, The Power District is no longer just a vision— it’ s taking shape as a catalytic project that reflects the Larry H. Miller Company’ s commitment to building the places where life takes place.
