Expanding Access to Exceptional Senior Health Care in Pennsylvania
In late January, Larry H. Miller Senior Health celebrated the opening of Advanced Health Care of Allentown, Pennsylvania. The new center expands the organization’ s footprint in the region, building on an established reputation for exceptional post-hospital patient care. It is the second skilled nursing facility in the area, following the opening of Advanced Health Care of Hanover in nearby Bethlehem in 2023.
Advanced Health Care of Allentown, like other facilities in the network, was designed with healing, comfort and dignity in mind. Private suites, a spacious therapy gym and inviting common areas provide patients with a supportive environment for recovery. Thoughtful design elements and high-quality finishes reflect the organization’ s commitment to creating spaces that feel welcoming while supporting clinical excellence.
“ Our teams have poured their hearts into creating a place of healing for the Allentown community,” said Rachel Gullett, administrator of Advanced Health Care.“ We’ re excited to open and continue to raise the standard of care in this area.”
To celebrate the opening, the team hosted a three-day open house from January 27 to 29, welcoming case managers, social workers, discharge planners and other local health care professionals. Guests toured the facility, met with clinical and therapy teams and gained a firsthand look at the organization’ s approach to postacute care. Because relationships with referral partners are central to success, the event was designed to feel both informative and welcoming.
“ Expanding into Allentown allows us to better meet the growing needs of the Lehigh Valley,” said Nathan
Oxnam, president of Advanced Health Care.“ Working in close coordination with Advanced Health Care of Hanover and Advanced Home Health and Hospice of the Lehigh Valley, the Allentown team will help ensure patients experience a seamless transition from hospital to skilled nursing to home-based services when needed.”
The opening reflects the efforts of teams across LHM Senior Health, including those in Allentown and Hanover, partners at Advanced Home Health and Hospice of the Lehigh Valley and support teams involved in construction, clinical planning, marketing, recruiting and event logistics. Together, these efforts expand access to exceptional post-acute care in the Lehigh Valley while creating a place where healing, hospitality and hope come together for those served.
