Your “Give Us 5” Donations at Work
A Glance at LHM Charities at Work in July and August
L
arry H. Miller Charities contributes to
501(c)(3) nonprofit charities that help
women and children who live in the
communities where LHM Group businesses are
based. Donations benefit programs that focus
on the issues of health and education. More
than $250,000 was granted in July and August.
Funding contributed in Arizona is helping
hungry children (Arizona Brainfood) and
improving childhood literacy (Make Way for
Books). Donations to Child Crisis Arizona and
Tucson Medical Center provided child car seats
to families through the Keys to Car Seat Safety
campaign held by LHM Dealerships Arizona. A
contribution to Don’t be a Chump! Check for a
Lump! is supporting the fight against breast cancer.
In Denver, Colorado, a grant to Laradon
is assisting infants and toddlers with
developmental disabilities, while a donation to
Mount St. Vincent Home is helping children
struggling with mental illness or trauma.
Families of ill children are obtaining financial
support for medical costs (Brandon Rooney
Memorial Foundation), and newborn and
premature babies are receiving blankets and
supplies (Warm Hearts – Warm Babies).

A donation to the Baby Steps program
(Episcopal Diocese St. Michael’s Cathedral) is
providing child car seats to Idaho families in need.
In Utah, funding is assisting refugee
women (Women of the World), offering dental
care to low-income kids (Community Health
Connect), and enabling abused women and
children to access counseling (Intermountain
Specialized Abuse Treatment Center).
Donations to Stand for Kind
and Hope4Utah are addressing
teen bullying and suicide. A
contribution to The Haven is
supporting transitional housing
for women recovering from
addiction, and a grant to Center
for Women and Children
in Crisis is providing basic
supplies to domestic violence
victims. Charities such as The
Children’s Center, Therapy
Animals of Utah, YCC Family
Crisis Center, Utah Parent
Center, and the American
Diabetes Association received
support for programs that help

women and children, as well. For a complete
