TAKE US OUT TO
THE BALL GAME!
The chance of a little rain and thunder did not prevent Utah
employees of the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies from enjoying
a great night at Smith’s Ballpark on Wednesday, August 20, for the
annual employee night with the Salt Lake Bees.
Courtesy of Gail Miller and the Miller family, employees were greeted
at the entrance and given an LHM-branded outdoor blanket as a
take-home gift. There were plenty of family friendly activities to
enjoy before the game, including face painting, train rides, and
photo opportunities with mascots Bumble and Bear. A delicious
BBQ dinner, provided by All-Star Catering, was served by members
of the LHM management team.
The sun came out and so did the smiles. (L-R): Don Stirling,
Jay Francis, Bear, Suzi and Jim Olson.
Employees and their families also had the opportunity to take part in
the game as honorary bat kids, participate in the 12-member “Field
of Dreams Team” (made up of employees’ children) and drag the
field with the grounds crew. The ceremonial first pitch was thrown
by Jim Derrick (JOR) who retired at the end of August after 13 years
with the company.
Fortunately, the weather cooperated long enough to complete
the full nine innings of exciting Bees baseball. It was a wonderful
evening and great chance for employees to share a night out with
family, friends and colleagues!

Gail Miller took a moment to thank the employees for their
dedication to the growth of the company. Bumble was
alongside to lend his support.
