MEGAPLEX MARKS 25 YEARS OF MOVIE MAGIC WITH CELEBRATIONS AND GRAND OPENINGS
The magic of Megaplex movies arrived just in time for the holiday blockbuster season for film fans in Park City and Pleasant Grove , Utah . Community leaders joined representatives from the Miller family and executives from LHM and Megaplex at two separate “ film cutting ” ceremonies about one week apart in November .
At the Park City Megaplex celebration , Gail Miller spoke about Megaplex ’ s focus on innovation and guest experience . Gail reminisced about the early days of Megaplex while helping to mark the 25th anniversary of the first Megaplex Theatres location at Jordan Commons in Sandy .
“ I am proud of our past , but I ’ m even more excited for our future ,” said
Gail Miller . “ The leadership team at Megaplex is outstanding ; they live our values and work very hard to enrich our community .”
LHM acquired the former Redstone 8 location in Park City and began work on a top to bottom renovation of the lobby area , kitchen , and every auditorium . The new Park City Megaplex features eight screens , heated luxury recliners , and a Dolby Atmos equipped auditorium designed to immerse guests in the biggest and best sound available . The Park City Megaplex is slated to host movies for the 2025 Sundance Film Festival .
One week later , another ceremony marked the opening of the new Pleasant Grove Megaplex . Megaplex President Britten Maughan , grew up
