in Spring 2024 . The Miller family were owners and stewards of the team for 35 of the past 50 years , beginning in 1985 when Larry and Gail purchased the first half of the team followed by full ownership a year later . The family continues to maintain a small ownership stake in the team . Gail Miller stated : “ We have cherished our stewardship of the Utah Jazz and the unifying influence it has been to the citizens of our state .”
November 3 , 2023 – Swig , the “ Home of the Original Dirty Soda ,” opened its first Arkansas location with cars lined up around the block and an overwhelming response from new customers eagerly awaiting their chance to try the signature drinks and sweets .
In August , just six months after the Larry H . Miller Company acquired a majority stake in Swig , they announced that Swig had officially signed 250 franchise units across seven new markets , including Florida , Idaho , Tennessee , North Carolina , South Carolina , Missouri , and Arkansas .
November 2 , 2023 – Amanda Covington , chief corporate affairs Officer of the Larry H . Miller Company , was awarded the 2023 ATHENA Leadership Award from the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce for her tireless contributions to her community . The award is the Chamber ’ s highest recognition for women in business , and it is presented to a woman who is an active Chamber member who demonstrates excellence , creativity , and initiative in business . Amanda is dedicated not just to business ventures but to leading and empowering those around her , and this award is a testament to her service .
October 24 , 2023 – Larry H . Miller Senior Health announced several leadership promotions and organizational restructuring at the Advanced Health Care Leadership Conference in Nashville . Andy Frasure , one of the founders of AHC , was promoted to chief operating officer for LHM Senior Health , Nathan Oxnam was named president of AHC , and Forest Arnett was made president of Advanced Home Health & Hospice – a new division for the LHM Senior Health platform .
October 12 , 2023 – Taylor Swift ’ s Eras Tour concert movie was a surprise blockbuster that earned more than $ 250 million globally and played to sold-out audiences across the Larry H . Miller Megaplex Theatres , where
Utah fans , social media influencers , local news media personalities ( and even a few NFL fans ) walked the LHM Megaplex red carpet , held oversized Taylor Swift album covers , and posed in front of lighted ERAS TOUR letters to celebrate the opening of the movie .
October 6 , 2023 – The National Association of Corporate Directors Utah Chapter named Mary Lee Schneider , lead director of the Larry H . Miller Company Board of Directors as a 2023 NACD Directorship 100 honoree . Mary Lee is a valuable member of the board of directors and is instrumental in furthering the company ’ s mission to enrich lives .
October 1 , 2023 – Prestige Financial achieved two significant milestones in 2023 : The Dealer Development and Originations departments expanded the company ’ s network of partners , adding more dealerships in a single year than ever before . Also , the company processed the highest number of applications in its history . Prestige attributes it ’ s success to the team ’ s dedication , hard work and commitment to providing exceptional service . September 26 , 2023 – Larry H . Miller Company executives Dave Smith , managing partner , and Ian McDonald , chief financial officer , were keynote speakers at Restaurant-ology 2023 presented by Savory . The event , now in its fifth year , is put on by restaurant operators for restaurant operators .
