Two organizations chose Gail Miller as their person of the year during 2023 . She was honored at galas surrounded by family , business leaders and members of the community .
In October , Utah Business chose Gail as their Women of the Year for her decades of leadership and work in the community as a leader , a philanthropist and a community builder . They highlighted Gail ’ s belief that a thriving community is one where all voices are heard , valued , and cherished , and her leadership style is guided by a profound desire to uplift and enrich lives .
The Salt Lake Tribune honored Gail in November with their inaugural Newsmaker Award For her decades of work and impact on the state of Utah .
The Newsmaker Award is given to a member of the community who strives to build a better future for those around her . During their presentation of the award , the Salt Lake Tribune emphasized the role Gail has played in aiding those in the community affected by homelessness , food insecurity , lack of access to education and other determinants of health . She was unafraid to forge her own path in life and business and leads with the mantra of “ doing good until there ’ s too much good in the world .”

November 27 , 2023 – The Utah Jazz unveiled a trailer for an upcoming documentary detailing the 50-year history of the organization in which Gail Miller is featured . The club released the first of six trailers that will roll out during the season . The long-form documentary , Note Worthy : 50 Seasons of Jazz Basketball will tell the history of the Jazz with interviews featuring former players , coaches , and owners . The film is scheduled for release
