The Larry H. Miller Company becomes title sponsor of the Utah Open and Utah Women’ s Open
As part of the Larry H. Miller Utah Open, Riverside Country Club hosted a 9-hole competition with 12 Special Olympics golfers.

The Utah Section PGA proudly announced the Larry H. Miller Company as the new title sponsor of the Utah Open and Women’ s Utah Open golf tournaments— ushering in a new era for one of Utah’ s most celebrated sporting traditions.

The 99th Larry H. Miller Utah Men’ s Open was held August 15 – 17, 2025, at Riverside Country Club in Provo, while the 9th Larry H. Miller Women’ s
Utah Open took place August 4 – 5 at The Country Club in Salt Lake City.
Emilee Hoffman became the champion of the Utah Women’ s Open, balancing eight birdies and eight bogeys over two days in a threestroke victory over Haley Sturgeon. Having lived in Arizona as an LPGA tour player, Hoffman moved to Utah in January to join her fiancé, who works in banking. She teaches lessons at Salt Lake City’ s golf courses, describing that role as“ a nice change of pace for me.”
As part of the company’ s sponsorship, the longstanding Special Olympics golf event at Riverside Country Club continued its inspiring tradition. Steve Starks, CEO of the Larry H. Miller Company, Utah First Lady Abby Cox, former MLB player Dale Murphy and other local leaders teamed up with 12 Special Olympics golfers for a memorable 9-hole competition.

At the men’ s Utah Open, Kihei Akina captured first place, becoming the youngest champion in Utah Open history and adding another title to his recent honor as the Deseret News“ Mr. Golf” award recipient.
